What to stream this weekend: 'Luca,' 'Physical'

June 18 (UPI) -- Disney presents its newest Pixar film titled Luca, Rose Byrne builds a fitness empire in Apple's Physical and Kevin Hart is a single father in Netflix's Fatherhood this weekend.

In addition, Evil returns for Season 2 on Paramount+, Rick and Morty offer more zany adventures with the arrival of Season 5 on Adult Swim and WWE stars enter the Hell in a Cell structure on Peacock.


Here's a rundown on some of the films and television shows that are set be released this weekend.


'Luca' -- Disney+

Jacob Tremblay and Jack Dylan Grazer voice teenage best friends who are secretly sea monsters in Luca, the latest animated film from Pixar, which comes to Disney+ on Friday. The duo explore the fictional Italian seaside town of Portorosso while concealing their identity. Emma Berman, Maya Rudolph and Jim Gaffigan also provide voices.


'Fatherhood' -- Netflix

Kevin Hart is a widower trying his best to raise his daughter on his own in Fatherhood, which premieres Friday on Netflix. The film is based on the memoir of the same name by Matthew Logelin. Alfre Woodard, Lil Rey Howery, DeWanda Wise, Anthony Carrigan and Paul Reiser also star.


'Intelligence' Season 2 -- Peacock

David Schwimmer and Nick Mohammed return to the Government Communications Headquarters in the U.K. in Intelligence Season 2, which is available on Peacock. Mohammed suggests hypnotherapy so that Schwimmer can remember a password from 2016 in the season premiere of the comedy series.

'Physical' -- Apple TV+

Rose Byrne is a 1980s housewife whose life changes after discovering aerobics in Physical, which arrives Friday on Apple TV+. Byrne then transforms into a lifestyle guru and builds a fitness empire. Rory Scovel, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, Paul Sparks and Ashley Liao also star.

'Elite' Season 4 -- Netflix

Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Manu Ríos and Pol Granch join the cast of Elite Season 4, which comes to Netflix on Friday. The show's fourth season will take place during a new term at exclusive boarding school Las Encinas. Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Arón Piper and Omar Ayuso are also returning.


'Pose for Pride' marathon -- FX

FX is airing a special marathon of Pose, featuring episodes from Seasons 3 and 4, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. EDT and ending at 12:30 a.m. EDT. The marathon, broadcasting in honor of Pride month, will also include special behind-the scenes footage. Co-creator Ryan Murphy selected each episode.

'Juneteenth marathon with Black-ish' -- FX, FXX

FX and FXX will offer a new set of marathons in honor of Juneteenth, which takes place on Saturday. FXX will host a Black-ish marathon, which will include episodes that explore what it means to be Black in America today. It begins at 7 a.m. EDT and ends at 4 p.m. EDT. FX will provide a movie marathon featuring Selma, The Hate U Give, BlacKkKlansman, Green Book and Hidden Figures, starting at 7 a.m. EDT and ending at 4 a.m. EDT.

'Evil' Season 2 -- Paramount+

Katja Herbers' forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard will be dealing with the aftermath of taking out her families stalker in Evil Season 2, which is coming to Paramount+ on Sunday. Mike Colter and Aasif Mandvi also star.


'WWE Hell in a Cell' -- Peacock

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley steps inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell structure to defend his title against Drew McIntyre at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on Sunday, which begins at 8 p.m. EDT on Peacock. If McIntyre loses, he will not be able to challenge Lashley for the WWE Championship ever again. SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair will be defending her title against Bayley and the demented Alexa Bliss will battle Shayna Baszler.

'Rick and Morty' Season 5 -- Adult Swim

Rick and Morty go on further space and dimension hopping adventures in the show's fifth season, which begins Sunday at 11 p.m. EDT on Adult Swim. The new season will include the duo's family piloting a Voltron-like robot and Rick and Morty destroying famous American monuments.
