June 17 (UPI) -- Disney+ will celebrate Pride Month with a new virtual concert.
The streaming service said in a press release Thursday that the special This is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular will stream on the Disney+ YouTube and Facebook pages June 27 at 8 p.m. EDT.
Nina West will host the concert, with Alex Newell, DCappella, Frankie Rodriguez and Joe Serafini, Hayley Kiyoko, Jackie Cox, Jesse James Keitel, Kermit the Frog, Michael James Scott and Todrick Hall to perform.
The virtual variety show will celebrate the Disney+ community of LGBTQ creators, employees and fans.
"At Disney+, we believe in the power of inclusive storytelling to bring us together and inspire us to live authentically," Disney+ global head of marketing and content curation Joe Earley said. "We are committed to amplifying the voices of our LGBTQ creators and talent, and platforming content that reminds people to love loud - and sing louder - in this special event."
Ann Marie Pace will direct the special, which raises awareness for GLSEN, a nonprofit working to end discrimination, harassment and bullying toward LGBTQ students.
West came to fame in RuPaul's Drag Race Season 11. Kiyoko is a singer and actress who released her fourth EP in January 2020.
