June 6 (UPI) -- Gone Girl and Cocktail actress Lisa Banes has been hospitalized for injuries she sustained when she was hit by someone on a scooter while walking in New York City.
Banes, 65, was in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital Saturday.
The A Cure for Wellness alum, who was visiting from Los Angeles, was on her way to meet her wife, former Wall Street Journal reporter Kathryn Kranhold, for a dinner party near Lincoln Center Friday evening when a man riding a scooter or motor bike hit her and sped away.
"We'll know more in the next few days," Kranhold told The New York Post.
Banes studied acting at Julliard in New York. Her credits include One Life to Live, China Beach, The Royal Pains and Nashville.
