SEOUL, May 31 (UPI) -- South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together released their second full-length album, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze on Friday, along with the music video for the title track "0X1 = Lovesong (I Know I Love You)" featuring Seori.

The Chaos Chapter: Freeze features writing contributions from all the band members and shows that TXT is evolving, said band leader Soobin at a press showcase for the album on Monday in Seoul.

"All of us took part in making the album and I think we improved and grew in terms of music and performances," he said.

The new album builds on the fantasy-laced narrative of the band's first LP, The Dream Chapter: Magic, but takes a turn into a world that has been undergoing difficult and confusing transformations.

The music video for the track "0X1 = Lovesong (I Know I Love You)" sets the band in a number of abandoned settings as the members incorporate a ripped-t-shirt-and-jeans rock aesthetic into their look.

"This is the story of a boy who is under assault because his world is under assault," Soobin said, adding that his love interest is the "salvation to cure the wounds this boy is experiencing."

TXT made its debut in March 2019 and released its first LP in October of that year.

The quintet, whose members range in age from 18-21, has been seen as a "little brother" to superstar Big Hit Music labelmates BTS but it has worked to cultivate an image that is distinct.

In addition to the elements of fantasy that run through their music, TXT also aims its content toward a slightly younger audience.

"Our music contains stories that only Tomorrow X Together can tell," said member Hueningkai, who also contributed production work to the track "Dear Sputnik" on the new album.

"Listeners say they can relate to our stories because we interpret the stories of teenagers in our own way and express them through music and performances," he said.

The band members' involvement has grown to encompass every aspect of the creative process, said member Taehyun.

"We're trying to participate more in music-making and contain more of our stories in the music," He said. "We're talking not only about music, but also outfits and concepts and every part of making the album."

The Chaos Chapter: Freeze also contains TXT's first all-English single, "Magic," which may help expand the band's reach in global markets.

The group's most recent Korean release, the EP Minisode1: Blue Hour, was released in October and debuted at No. 25 on the Billboard 200, the highest chart position so far in the United States for TXT.

"I think we have more to show than what we've already shown," said Taehyun. "We want to show a more diverse musical spectrum, and we want to break new barriers and interpret any genre into our own style."

TXT consists of Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.
