The 37-year-old broadcast journalist welcomed her second child, daughter Eloise, with her husband, CBS This Morning co-host Tony Dokoupil, last week.

Today confirmed the news Monday and said Tur gave birth May 13 after nearly 24 hours of labor.

In a statement to People, Tur and Dokoupil said Tur's contractions started "after a bowl of spicy noodle soup."

"Though Mom was screaming by dawn, Dad was convinced it was the takeout. When Mom got into the car without him and starting to pound the horn, Dad finally ran out, forgetting half the hospital supplies," the couple said.

Tur and Dokoupil married in October 2017 and have a 2-year-old son, Teddy. Dokoupil also has two children from a previous marriage.

Tur and Dokoupil said baby Eloise "fits right in" with their family.

"Big brother Teddy loves her already and can't wait to introduce her to their big brother and sister. We're all looking forward to a full and crazy house this summer," the couple said.

Tur has been on a break from MSNBC since May 2020. Dokoupil will be on parental leave from CBS This Morning for the next few weeks.
