Celine Dion says late husband is 'part of our lives every day' on 'Today'

May 17 (UPI) -- Celine Dion discussed how her late husband René Angélil still has a presence in her family's life, the possibility of dating again and her new Las Vegas residency Monday on Today.

"I feel like René has given me so much through the years and still today. I see my kids. I look at them, we live with him. We still live with him," Dion told Today's Natalie Morales.

"He's part of our lives every day, so I have to say that I feel very, very strong," she continued.

Angélil, who also served as Dion's manager, died of throat cancer in January 2016 at the age of 73. The couple, who were married in 1994, share three children together including 20-year-old René-Charles and 10-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

Morales asked Dion about possibly settling down with someone else in the future.

"I don't know. I have no idea. But right this second, love is so big right now in my life, with my kids, with life itself. I'm not thinking about a relationship and falling in love again.," Dion said.

The singer will be starting a new Las Vegas residency at Resorts World that begins on Nov. 5 with a special opening night performance that will benefit COVID-19 relief.

"It's going to be about an energy, about starting again, about living again, about feeling that something will come out of this hopefully," Dion said about the residency.
