Momoa is an advocate of recyclables and launched his own brand of water, packaged in aluminum cans, this year. He shared a photo of himself with Pratt and his kids, daughter Lola Iolani and son Nakoa-Wolf.

"@prattprattpratt BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I'm sorry this was received so badly today I didn't mean for that to happen," Momoa said of his criticism.

"I'm just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase," he added. "You're an inspiration to many I'm one of them. I'll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa's."

Pratt had posted a photo Tuesday morning to promote his new partnership with Amazon. The picture shows Pratt holding a plastic water bottle at the gym, which Momoa criticized in the comments.

"bro i love u but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on," Momoa wrote.

Momoa shaved his beard in April for the first time since 2012 to promote the use of aluminum cans over plastic water bottles.

"Let's make a positive change for the health of our planet," he encouraged fans. "Let's clean up our oceans, our land. Join me on this journey. Let's make the switch to infinitely recyclable aluminum. Water in cans, not plastic."

Momoa plays the title character in Aquaman and will reprise the role in Aquaman 2. Pratt plays Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
