Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Supergirl star Andrea Brooks is a new mom.

The 30-year-old actress announced on Instagram that she welcomed her first child, a daughter.

Brooks shared a black-and-white photo with her baby girl. The picture shows Brooks showing a smile as she cradles her daughter to her chest.

"...and then there was you," she captioned the post, adding a heart emoji.

Actresses Pascale Hutton, Vanessa Morgan, Laura Osnes and Cindy Busby were among those to congratulate Brooks in the comments.

"Well done, mama. What an angel," Osnes wrote.

"Gorgeous!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So excited for you guys. That's one lucky babe," Busby added.

Brooks had announced her pregnancy to Entertainment Tonight in July. She said in October that she was avoiding Google ahead of her due date.

"It's sneaking up," she told ET. "I've been attending my pregnancy classes and trying to avoid spending too much time on Google. I'm already a worry-wart, and sometimes the Internet keeps me up worrying about some pretty strange things."
