Thomas Rhett launches 'Rhettro' swim collection with Chubbies

Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Two-time Grammy nominee Thomas Rhett has launched a swim collection with Chubbies.

The 29-year-old country singer released the '90s-inspired "Rhettro" family swimwear collection with the company Monday.

Chubbies is a U.S.-based company known for designing short-shorts for men. The Rhettro collection includes a men's swim trunk, a ladies' one-piece, a boys' swim trunk and a girls' one-piece in a purple and neon pattern.

Rhett promoted the collection in an Instagram post Monday.

"Pumped to have partnered with @chubbies to create our #RHETTRO collection! 90's throwback inspired styles for all," he captioned the post.

Rhett also discussed the limited-run collection in a statement to Esquire, saying it reflects his own fashion choices at the moment.

"The designs and styles are the ones I would (and do) wear myself, and the family swim line is exactly the vibe my family wears," the star said. "I can't wait to see them on our friends and family and, of course, the fans."

"I'm drawn to bold patterns and colors that pop, whether it's my sneaker collection, jackets -- you name it. I've been pulling inspiration lately from '90s styles, and I think that definitely shows in what we came up with," he added.

Rhett is known for the singles "It Goes Like This," "Die a Happy Man" and "Look What God Gave Her," and released his fourth studio album, Center Point Road, in May. He is expecting a third daughter with wife Lauren Akins.
