May 24 (UPI) -- Snoop Dogg thinks he and Martha Stewart make a "perfect match."

The 47-year-old rapper discussed his friendship with Stewart, his Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party co-star, during Friday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I love me some Martha Stewart. She is just a joy to be around," he told host Ellen DeGeneres. "You wouldn't think of that when you think of Snoop Dogg off the top [of your head], but as Snoop Dogg rolls into who he becomes it's just a perfect match."

Snoop Dogg and Stewart first met during an episode of Stewart's show Martha in 2008. The pair reconnected at Comedy Central's Roast of Justin Bieber in 2016.

"When we did his roast, she happened to sit right next to me. She got a secondhand smoke contact. And from that contact we started connecting and connecting and we started talking and chopping it up. Before you knew it, we was on screen together," Snoop Dogg recalled.

The "Gin & Juice" rapper denied Stewart shares his love for marijuana.

"She enjoys gardening and all of that vegetation. But I do it the other way, you know what I'm saying?" he said.

Snoop Dogg speaks to Stewart about once a week and stays with the lifestyle guru when he's in her area.

"When I go that way, I like to stay at her house. Her house is so big, her horse's house is bigger than my house," he said.

Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party premiered its third season on VH1 in April. Snoop Dogg and Stewart discussed their chemistry in an interview with Today prior to the premiere.

"What an odd couple we are," Stewart said. "I like his laid-back energy. I like his outspokenness. I like his sense of timing. And I like to watch him cook."

"[She's] like the big sister I never had," Snoop Dogg added. "Being able to correct me, to teach me, to show me how to be better, to give me something to aspire to be. We need that in life and this is what I didn't have."
