Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Liam Hemsworth missed the 61st annual Grammy Awards following his reported hospitalization.

The 29-year-old actor failed to join his wife, singer Miley Cyrus, at the awards show Sunday after missing a press day for his movie Isn't It Romantic earlier in the day.

Hemsworth's Isn't It Romantic co-star Rebel Wilson told Extra the actor spent Saturday night in the hospital.

"He texted us this morning. He was in hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine," the actress said.

A rep for Warner Bros., which is producing the movie, told People Hemsworth woke up not feeling well and had to miss the press event.

Cyrus instead brought her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, to the Grammys. She performed "In My Blood" with Shawn Mendes and "Jolene" with her godmother, country star Dolly Parton, during the ceremony.

Hemsworth and Cyrus quietly married at their home in Franklin, Tenn., in December. Hemsworth marveled at Cyrus' wedding ring and its CGI-like sparkle during an episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last week.

"There's a couple different rocks on there -- not to brag -- but there's a couple different rocks," he said of the ring.
