Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Developer Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch's annual holiday event Winter Wonderland, is coming to the online multiplayer game on Dec. 11.
Blizzard made the announcement on the official Twitter account for Overwatch on Tuesday alongside a small preview of the holiday changes coming to the game's Blizzard World map.
The stage, which pays homage to all of Blizzard's games, will feature Christmas lights, trees and candy cane-themed light posts.
The Winter Wonderland event will run from Dec. 11 until Jan. 2. Winter Wonderland has previously featured new holiday costumes players can obtain for their characters and game modes such as Mei's Yeti Hunt and Mei's Snowball Offensive.
Winter Wonderland comes after Blizzard recently released new character Ashe into the game, a rebellious gunslinger who uses a rifle, dynamite and her loyal robotic butler B.O.B. to punish enemies.
