Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Ariana Grande told fans on Instagram to treat her ex-fiance Pete Davidson nicer online after the Saturday Night Live star said he was being harassed on social media.

"I know u already know this but I feel I need to remind my fans to please be gentler with others. I really don't endorse anything but forgiveness and positivity," Grande said Tuesday on her Instagram Story alongside Davidson's Instagram post about how he has suffered from online bullying.

"I care deeply about Pete and his health. I'm asking you to please be gentler with others, even on the internet," she continued before addressing her latest hit song, "Thank U, Next," which features lyrics about Davidson and other ex-boyfriends.

"I will always have irrevocable love for him and if you've gotten any other impression from my recent work, you might have missed the point," Grande said.

Davidson, on Monday, posted on Instagram about how he has been attacked online for nine months.

"No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won't. I'm upset I even have to say this," he said.

Grande and Davidson called it quits in October after they became engaged in June following a few weeks of dating.
