Lin-Manuel Miranda gets star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Actor and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda has been presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Miranda, 38, will soon be seen in the movie musical Mary Poppins Returns. He co-wrote the songs for the soundtrack of the animated film Moana and earned a Pulitzer Prize and Tony for creating the Broadway blockbuster Hamilton.

On hand for his star presentation ceremony Friday were singing comedian Weird Al Yankovic, West Side Story icon Rita Moreno and Miranda's wife Vanessa.

"Honored that mi sobrino,@Lin_Manuel asked me to attend and speak at his @WalkofFameStar induction. #welldeserved," Moreno tweeted.

Miranda responded: "You sanctify my life, Rita. You always have."
