Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Keith Urban teased his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, as she sat in the audience at the 2018 ARIA Awards. The 51-year-old New Zealand singer playfully called out Kidman while hosting the awards show Tuesday in Sydney, Australia.
Urban opened the show by welcoming the crowd and personally greeting Kidman, who was seated in the front. He chirped, "Hi, baby! She's right in the front row," causing the actress to cover her face.
"'Oh hi baby!' When your husband opens the 2018 #ARIAS by embarrassing you..." the ARIA Awards captioned a photo of the moment on its official Twitter account.
Urban also made Kidman cringe while introducing Troye Sivan, who stars with Kidman in the new movie Boy Erased.
"This guy is a singer, two-time ARIA winner and an actor currently co-starring in a really beautiful film that I highly recommend you see called Boy Erased alongside an up and coming new actress called Nicole Kidman," Urban said, according to news.com.au.
"I think good things are ahead for her," he jokingly added.
Kidman attended the awards show with her niece Lucia Hawley. She shared a photo with Lucia on Instagram prior to the event.
"Going to the #ARIAs with my niece, we're so excited to see Keith hosting!" the actress captioned the post.
