Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Smart is "so happy" to be a mom of three.
The 31-year-old author and activist took to Instagram Monday after welcoming a baby girl, Olivia, with husband Matthew Gilmour.
Smart shared a family photo from her hospital bed. The picture shows Smart posing with Gilmour and cradling her newborn daughter to her chest.
"So happy to welcome Olivia to our family!" she wrote, adding several heart emojis.
Smart and Gilmour married in February 2012 after a one-year courtship. The couple are also parents to 3-year-old daughter Chloe and 22-month-old son James, and announced Smart's pregnancy in June.
"Pretty HUGE news!!!!!! We're expecting baby #3 in November!" Smart wrote on Instagram at the time.
Smart was kidnapped from her home at age 14 in 2002, and remained captive for nine months before her rescue. She said in an interview with People in November 2017 that the experience has made her extra vigilant with her kids.
"My children have brought so much happiness and joy. To me, they're the very definition of love," Smart said.
"There's a part of me that's always thinking, 'Are the windows shut?'" she added. "I don't want to let Chloe out of my sight. I will never regret being there for my children, watching them, making sure they'll be okay."
