Paris Hilton, Chris Zylka split after 10-month engagement

Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Celebrity couple Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka have called off their 10-month engagement.

Us Weekly confirmed the 37-year-old socialite and 33-year-old actor have called it quits after nearly two years of dating.

Hilton ended the relationship a few weeks ago, according to E! News.

"Their relationship moved really quickly, and she realized he wasn't right for her. She wishes him well and hopes they can remain friends," a source said.

People said Hilton is focusing on her career in the wake of the split.

"She is traveling the world for her skincare and perfume," an insider said.

Hilton and Zylka got engaged in January during a ski trip in Aspen, Colo. Hilton couldn't help but gush about Zylka and her engagement ring in an interview with People at the time.

"I am so excited to be engaged to the love of my life and my best friend," the star said. "I have never felt so happy, safe and loved. He is perfect for me in every way and showed me that fairytales really do exist!"

"The ring was so gorgeous and sparking. I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!" she added.

Hilton was previously engaged to Jason Shaw and Paris Latsis, while Zylka was to marry Hanna Beth. Zylka is known for playing Jake Armstrong on The Secret Circle and Tom Garvey on The Leftovers.
