Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus and Gerard Butler have announced on social media that they have lost homes to the raging wildfires affecting California.
"Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that's all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong," Cyrus said on Twitter Monday, seemingly referencing her fiance Liam Hemsworth.
"I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff's department!" she continued in a second tweet before directing her fans who want to help to a number of charities and organizations that deal with wildfire relief.
Butler, meanwhile, posted on Instagram Sunday a selfie he took featuring his burned down house and truck.
"Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California," the actor captioned the image.
"Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment. If you can, support these brave men and women at SupportLAFD.org," he continued.
The California wildfires have also burned through the Agoura Hills mansion where The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were filmed and Paramount Ranch's Western Town which was used for Westworld. A number of celebrities were forced to flee their homes including Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Jamie Foxx.
The Kardashian family, including Kim, Khloe, Kourtney Kris Jenner and Kendall Jenner, gave a speech about the wildfires on Sunday while accepting the People's Choice Award for Best Reality Show for their program Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"As horrible as this has been, it's been amazing to see the resilient spirit of everyone involved, and the heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines," Kim said.
"Our country is stronger when we come together and we cannot face devastation alone," she continued. "We must continue to reach out and help each other during these trying times."
Foxx also commented on the wildfires while attending the Sunday premiere of Robin Hood in New York City and confirmed that his family was safe.
"So, I can't tell people enough, in a world right now where it's sort of crazy times to just look for the good in people. Stop looking for the bad in people," he said to Entertainment Tonight. "And just pray for the kids, man, pray for everybody in California. People are losing their whole existence. we were fortunate enough to be able to move but a lot of people aren't, so just god bless all."
