Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Sarah Jessica Parker had a good-natured reaction to Bette Midler's recent remark about Hocus Pocus.

The 53-year-old actress spoke out on Thursday's episode of Watch What Happens Live after Midler said she didn't notice Parker and her other co-stars behind her on set.

"I was proud to be in her downwind," Parker told host Andy Cohen. "I'm thrilled."

Midler made the comment in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in October after rewatching Hocus Pocus as part of the film's 25th anniversary special on Freeform.

"I haven't seen it in years and it was so good," the 72-year-old actress said.

"I had forgotten how good it was and how good everybody was, I mean, everybody. I didn't realize what was going on behind me," she explained. "Those girls were carrying on something terrible and the kids were great."

Parker said during the Oct. 31 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that she doesn't have strong memories about the movie itself.

"I don't have a lot of memories. I remember the filming of it, I just, I don't remember what the movie is about as much," the star told host Stephen Colbert.

"Three witches, I've been told that. And apparently I'm not very bright, my character's not very bright. But I fly and sing, and I think I like to kill children, I don't know," she said.

Hocus Pocus co-starred Kathy Najimy and opened in theaters in 1993. The Disney Channel confirmed in September 2017 it is developing a remake of the film with an all-new cast.
