Arpaia is also parent to 7-year-old son Alessandro with Stewart, a cardiac surgeon. She announced the twins' birth in a statement Tuesday to People.

"God enriched our life with two little miracles! We are filled with gratitude and joy," the star said.

Arpaia announced her pregnancy in May after conceiving via in vitro fertilization. She said in an interview with Today Alessandro had a dream she would become pregnant with twins.

"I said, 'Alessandro, did you read a story at school? Where did this idea come from?' He said, 'God.' I said, 'Where are these babies coming from?' He said, 'From your belly, Mommy,'" the star recalled.

"I still can't believe it is possible," she gushed.
