Jana Kramer expecting second child after multiple miscarriages

June 25 (UPI) -- Jana Kramer is pregnant with her second child after experiencing multiple miscarriages.

The 34-year-old actress and singer confirmed in an interview with People published Monday that she is expecting again with her husband, former NFL player Mike Caussin.

"I'm so excited," she told the magazine. "We lost in October and then we did an IVF cycle and we lost in February, so I want to be able to be like, 'Hey, I know it's hard but just try to have some hope.'"

Kramer married Caussin in May 2015, and is parent to 2-year-old daughter Jolie Rae with the former tight end. She shared news of her pregnancy and a family photo Monday on Instagram.

"Surprise! We have a rainbow baby on the way & couldn't be more excited!" the star wrote. "Jolie is going to be a big sister & we're becoming a family of 4!"

Kramer told Us Weekly in May that she had experienced several miscarriages in her attempt to have a second child.

"It's frustrating, but what I've realized is, it's truly a miracle to have a baby and it's all in God's timing and hands," she said at the time. "If it's meant to be, it will be."

Kramer is known for playing Alex Dupre on The WB/CW series One Tree Hill, and has since appeared on the ABC reality competition Dancing with the Stars. She released the album Thirty One in October 2015.
