Prince Louis to be christened in July

June 20 (UPI) -- Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William and Kate Middleton's infant son Prince Louis will be christened on July 9.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London," the offcial Twitter account for Kensington Palace said on Twitter Wednesday.

"Prince Louis will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby," the statement continued.

It remains unknown who will be selected to be Louis' godparents.

Louis was born on April 23 at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's hospital in West London. The baby, who is fifth in line to the throne, entered the world at 8 lbs. 7oz.
