Funko 2018 Pop! lineup to add 'The Lost Boys'

June 12 (UPI) -- Funko announced a new addition on Tuesday to their lineup of collectible Pop! figures this year based on five characters in the cult classic film, The Lost Boys.

The Lost Boys toy collection is based on the 1987 American horror film about a mother who moves her boys into a small coastal town in California plagued by bikers and mysterious deaths. The younger boy is drawn to two friends who claim to be vampire hunters and the older boy is drawn to a biker gang. The film starred Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.

"There's a beach town in California where you never have to grow old, the vampires don't sparkle but wear plenty of leather and holy water is a must-have when leaving the house," Funko said regarding the new collection.

The new toys, include brothers Sam and Michael Emerson, David -- the leader of the biker gang in his human form carrying a box of noodles (or worms) and The Frog Brothers who battled the vampires available as a 2-pack-Funk Shop Exclusive.

The new collection is set for release in July.

Earlier this year, Funko announced the release of other toys based on the thriller Deadpool and the musical film Grease.
