Norman Reedus, Helena Christensen reunite at son's high school graduation

June 7 (UPI) -- Former couple Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen reunited at their son's high school graduation.

The 49-year-old American actor and Christensen, also 49, came together to celebrate 18-year-old son Mingus Lucien at the event this week.

Reedus shared a photo Tuesday on Instagram of himself with Christensen. He gave "props" to the Danish model in the caption for helping to raise their son.

"Props to this lovely lady (he graduated!!)," the star captioned the post.

Christensen posted a group picture with Reedus and Mingus on her own account.

"We're so proud of you," she wrote. "LOVE YOU SO MUCH! #classof2018."

Reedus' girlfriend, actress Diane Kruger, posted several heart emojis in the comments. Kruger was first linked to Reedus in March.

Reedus and Christensen split in 2003 after five years of dating. Reedus described their son as a calm and level-headed person in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer in 2015.

"I've never seen him throw a tantrum in his whole life," the star said.

"He's got such a good head on his shoulders," he added. "I'm learning from him more than he's learning from me. He's my role model!"
