Kardashian, who wore a white Rick Owens crop top and long skirt, made a self-referential joke in her acceptance speech.

"I am kind of shocked that I'm winning a fashion award when I am naked most of the time," the star quipped. "But this is seriously such an honor, so thank you to the CFDA for this award."

Kardashian's sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner also attended the event. People reported Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, surprised her by appearing in a video message with their 2-year-old son, Saint.

"We're doing this video for the most influential person on the planet. Want to say hi?" the rapper and designer asked Saint in the clip.

Kardashian credited West and her mom, Kris Jenner, with influencing her style.

"I'm super inspired by my husband fashion-wise," the star said. "He really helps me with all my looks and my makeover if you want to call it that. He is my best stylist."

"My mom does influence my choice for sure," she added.

Kardashian and West are parents to Saint, 4-year-old daughter North and 4-month-old daughter Chicago. Kardashian and Kourtney threw North and Kourtney's daughter, Penelope Disick, a unicorn-themed birthday party Sunday.
