May 30 (UPI) -- Frances Bean Cobain's ex-husband is suing her mom, Courtney Love, alleging Love tried to have him killed.

People reported Isaiah Silva filed a lawsuit against Love, her manager Sam Lufti, actor Ross Butler, private investigator John Nazarian, musician Michael Schenk and others for conspiring to kill him with the intent of reclaiming Kurt Cobain's guitar.

Frances, the daughter of Love and Cobain, agreed to give Silva one of the late Nirvana frontman's guitars in their divorce settlement, which was finalized this month. The pair had been in dispute over the guitar, which Cobain played during his 1993 performance on MTV Unplugged.

Silva claims Lufti and two other men "did burglarize, rob, assault, batter, sexually batter, kidnap and attempt to murder [him]" at his home in June 2016, before the settlement was finalized. He also said the men attacked his mother.

"The primary objective of their conspiracy was to locate and take possession of a guitar believed to be worth millions of dollars, which was gifted to Silva, by [Frances], on January 8, 2014, six months prior to their June 29, 2014 marriage," court documents read, according to Us Weekly.

Cobain and Silva split in February 2016 after less than two years of marriage. The pair's divorce was finalized in November.
