May 30 (UPI) -- A former star of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch reality series, Blake Painter, has died at the age of 38.
Painter was found dead in his home in Oregon on Friday, the Clatsop County Sheriff's office confirmed to People magazine.
Painter was discovered after a friend called police due to not hearing from him for several days, TMZ reported.
Substances found at Painter's residence are being tested for possible narcotics. Foul play is not suspected with a cause of death set to be determined following an autopsy and toxicology test.
Painter was the captain of the F/V Maverick and first appeared on Deadliest Catch during Season 2 before deciding the exit the series during Season 3.
Painter is the latest star from Deadliest Catch to die following the death of Tony Lara at the age of 50 in August 2015.
