America Ferrera gives birth to first child, a baby boy

May 30 (UPI) -- America Ferrera has given birth to her first child with husband Ryan Piers Williams, a baby boy named Sebastian.

The actress announced the arrival of Sebastian on Instagram Tuesday alongside a photo of her hands holding her newborn's tiny foot.

"When 2 become 3...Welcome Sebastian Piers Williams - aka Baz! Mom, Dad, and Baby are happy, healthy and totally in love!" Ferrera said.

Ferrera, 33, and Williams, 36, got married in 2011. The couple announced that were expecting their first child on New Year's Eve.

Ferrera held a baby shower in March that was attended by her Superstore co-stars and former Ugly Betty castmates.

"No poopie diaper games here. Just dancing, drinking (water for me), and some of the people we love to celebrate the little human we can't wait to meet," she said at the time.
