The 39-year-old actress and television personality shared a body-positive message in an Instagram post Saturday after giving birth to a daughter with husband Cory Hardrict.

"This is MY #postpartum. Two weeks in. Do I still have a belly yes. I actually look like I'm 4 months pregnant and that is OKAY," Mowry captioned a photo of herself in a white dress.

"I wanted to shine a light on how our society creates false expectations after a woman gives birth," she explained. "Ladies, it's okay that our bodies are not PERFECT after our babies are born. Give your self time. Go at your own pace. Don't allow people to put a time limit on YOUR body."

Mowry gave birth to her baby girl this month, but has yet to announce the infant's name. She and Hardrict told People in March they picked a "unique" name beginning with C.

"We like unisex names," Mowry said.

"Names that show some strength and some power behind it," Hardrict added. "It has a great meaning. So that's what we're looking for."

Mowry is known for playing Tia Landry on Sister, Sister, and has since starred on the series The Game and Instant Mom. She hosts the Cooking Channel show Tia Mowry at Home.
