Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Sarah Silverman received a "cruel" gift from Kate Beckinsale following her split from their mutual ex. The 47-year-old comedian said Wednesday that Beckinsale teasingly sent her personalized M&Ms after her recent breakup with the 44-year-old actress' ex-partner Michael Sheen.

Silverman shared a photo on Instagram of her customized chocolate from Beckinsale. The blue & white candies were printed with a photo of Silverman and Sheen sharing a kiss.
"Been ending every night with a microwaved bowl of personalized m&ms given to me by the very thoughtful and very cruel @katebeckinsale to remind me that I'm alone in this world. So very alone. THANKS, KATE," Silverman wrote.
"(Seriously they are so good esp melted which is why the microwave)," she added.
Silverman had announced her split from Sheen in a tweet Monday, saying she and the 49-year-old actor "consciously uncoupled" in December.
"No fight. We just live in different countries & it got hard," she explained. "Felt we should just tell y'all so u stop askin, 'How's Michael/How's Sarah?'"
Silverman and Sheen started dating in 2014 after meeting on the set of Masters of Sex. The comedian subsequently developed a close bond with Beckinsale, who split from Sheen in 2003 and shares 19-year-old daughter Lily with the actor.
"I really love [Sarah]," Beckinsale told ES Magazine in 2016. "We are lucky we both get on."
