Princess Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew, announced the news Thursday on his official Twitter account. The prince shares Princess Eugenie and 29-year-old Princess Beatrice with Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

"The marriage of Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenis to Mr Jack Brooksbank will take place on 12th October 2018. As previously announced, the wedding will take place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle," the Duke of York wrote.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank got engaged in January after several years of dating. The princess said in an interview with The One Show with Matt Baker at the time that her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was among the first to know.
