Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Google is celebrating the holidays with a new Doodle that tells the story of a family of birds and their plans for a reunion.

Google's homepage features a slideshow of artwork depicting two penguins talking to a toucan on the phone and then the penguins packing their bags while inside their igloo house.

A second image displays a family photo of the penguins as children being held by the toucan and a parrot.

The Doodle is meant to act as part one of a series of Doodles that will chronicle the penguins reuniting with their family. Next to the family photo are gifts with the numbers 25, 31 and 1 written on them hinting that further installments will be released on Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

"The festive season is here and this pair of slippery-footed siblings are excited to spend time with their warm-weather relatives! Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks to see what kind of fun this feathery family has in store," Google wrote.
