Halle Berry 'done with love' after splitting from Alex Da Kid

Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Halle Berry declared herself "done with love" following news of her split from Alex Da Kid.

The 51-year-old actress appeared to confirm her breakup with the British music producer in an Instagram Stories post Wednesday.

Berry shared a photo of a rope in the shape of a heart after Us Weekly reported she and Alex Da Kid had called it quits after a few months of dating.

"Done with love," she captioned the picture, adding three flexed arm emojis.

Berry and Alex Da Kid first went public with their relationship on social media in September. E! News reported the actress initiated the breakup after deciding the relationship was "not for her."

"She is much happier now," a source said.

"Ever since splitting with her [ex-husband] Olivier [Martinez], she has been more cautious about who she chooses to bring around the children, and bring into her life," the insider added. "Alex needed to go."

Berry shares 4-year-old son Maceo with Martinez and 9-year-old daughter Nahla with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry. She will next star in the movie Kings with Daniel Craig.
