'The Originals' star Claire Holt is engaged to Andrew Joblon

Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Claire Holt of The Originals fame, is engaged to her boyfriend Andrew Joblon, over seven months after her ex-husband Matthew Kaplan filed for divorce from the actress in April.

Holt made the announcement on Instagram Sunday, alongside a photo of herself sharing a kiss with Joblon while showing off her engagement ring.

"My heart is so full," the 29-year-old said.

Holt made her relationship official with Joblon, a real estate executive, in July while the pair was vacationing together in Italy.

Kaplan, a television producer, had filed for divorce from Holt on April 27, one day before their one-year wedding anniversary citing irreconcilable differences.

Holt portrayed Rebekah Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries from 2011-2014 and has since reprised the role on The Originals starting in 2013.
