Julia Stiles shares first photo with son Strummer

Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Julia Stiles is giving fans a first glimpse of her newborn son.

The 36-year-old actress posted a picture Tuesday with Strummer Newcomb, her first child with husband Preston J. Cook, after welcoming the infant in October.

The snapshot shows Stiles striking a pose as she heads out with Strummer in tow. The star wears a herringbone backpack and a baby carrier that cradles her son to her chest.

"I haven't work a back pack since middle school. Now I have a front pack. #jujube #tulababycarriers," she captioned the photo.

Stiles announced in a post last week that she and Cook welcomed Strummer on Oct. 20. The actress gave birth at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

"Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017. Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives," she wrote.

Stiles confirmed in June that she was expecting with Cook, an actor and camera assistant. She and Cook tied the knot over Labor Day weekend in September at a beach wedding in Seattle, Wash.
