Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson posted a photo Wednesday of her daughter's "girly goth" look. The 37-year-old singer and designer shared a picture of Maxwell Drew, her 5-year-old daughter with husband Eric Johnson, wearing dark-colored lipstick during a trip to a M.A.C. Cosmetics store.

The snapshot shows Simpson and Maxwell pursing their lips for the camera as they pose for a mirror selfie inside the shop. Simpson said the outing was part of her "Mommy-Daughter Day" with Maxwell.
"This is NOT an #ad, @maccosmetics is my daughter's favorite store! Mommy-Daughter Day with #MAXIDREW #girlygoth," she captioned the photo.
Simpson shares Maxwell and 4-year-old son Ace Knute with Johnson, a retired NFL player. She discussed Maxwell's sense of style in an interview with People in 2016, saying her daughter's fashion savvy has inspired her approach to her clothing line.
"She teaches me a lot about outfits, and she is better at putting outfits together than me," the designer said. "She's a new inspiration."
"I feel like it's important as a woman to know that you can make someone else feel good in her own shoes, make somebody else feel good in her own clothing," she added. "As a mother, I know how much my daughter respects a great outfit."
