Jennie Garth 'taking time apart' from husband Dave Abrams

Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Jennie Garth is "taking time apart" from her husband, actor and restauranteur Dave Abrams.

The 45-year-old actress' rep confirmed Tuesday to Us Weekly that Garth is working through issues in her marriage to Abrams, 36.

Garth and Abrams tied the knot at the star's Los Olivos, Calif., home in July 2015. The couple have not legally separated nor filed any legal paperwork.

"They are still trying to make it work, but they haven't been living together," a source said. "They love each other, but like every marriage, it takes work. Jennie is taking the time to focus on her girls and herself."

People also reported Garth and Abrams are working to fix their issues but are not filing for divorce.

"[They're] going through a rocky patch," an insider said.

Garth shares three daughters, 20-year-old Luca, 14-year-old Lola and 11-year-old Fiona, with ex-husband Peter Facinelli, from whom she split in 2012. She shared a post on Instagram about resilience last week.

"Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. But it doesn't mean we'll never experience sadness. It proves we're able to spring back into shape after struggle has pushed us farther than we ever imagined we could go," she wrote.
