Nov. 21 (UPI) -- British royals Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Monday.
The 91-year-old monarch and Prince Philip, 96, rang in the occasion by releasing new portraits and dining with family and friends.

Kensington Palace shared photos of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle, according to People. The queen wore a cream-colored dress and a brooch given to her by Prince Philip in 1966.
"Wishing a very happy 70th wedding anniversary to Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh," the palace tweeted.

People reported Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were joined by their children, including Prince Charles, and grandchildren, including Prince William and Prince Harry, for a celebratory dinner at Windsor Castle. Prince William brought his wife, Kate Middleton, but it is unknown if Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, was present.
Middleton wore a black lace gown and a special necklace for the occasion, according to E! News. Queen Elizabeth loaned the expectant mom her four-row pearl choker necklace, which was also previously worn by Princess Diana.
