Coulier's injury comes ahead of the Part 2 premiere of Fuller House Season 3. The Netflix series will return with new episodes Dec. 22, including an episode directed by Coulier, who plays Joey Gladstone.
"Directing @juanpablodipace and @andreabarber in this hugely funny scene in the second half of @fullerhouse season 3. #cutitout #fullerhouse," the actor wrote on Instagram in October.
Fuller House is a sequel to Full House, which aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995. Lori Loughlin, who portrays Aunt Becky in both series, confirmed Sunday that the original show will air on the Hallmark Channel starting in January.
"One big happy family! #fullhouse & @hallmarkchannel starting in January 2018," she wrote.
