Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Comedian Kevin Hart put on his running shoes and completed all 26.2 miles of the New York City marathon Sunday, one of many celebrities to join in on one of the country's most famous runs.

"Marathon complete. Got my gold medal. Thank you to all the runners who ran," Hart said in a video posted to Instagram. "Let this be proof that whatever you put your mind to, you can do."

Hart's run was done to raise money for a scholarship fund. The 38-year-old stand-up comic raised more than $300,000 for his cause through Sunday.

Hart was among the fastest celebrities to run in this year's marathon, finishing the race in 4 hours, 5 minutes and six seconds. That time was 33 minutes faster than former NFL star Tiki Barber and 34 minutes faster than Latin Grammy winner Prince Royce, reported Runner's World.

Model Karlie Kloss also completed the marathon in just under 4 hours and 42 minutes.

26.2 Damn it....The New York Marathon is officially completed...Check this goal off of my list damn it. #HustleHart #MoveWithHart
