Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Tyrese Gibson stated he is "actually OK" to fans Wednesday on Instagram following the release of a Facebook video that features the actor crying over his ongoing custody battle involving his 10-year-old daughter Shayla.

"Contrary to what some of y'all may believe, I'm actually OK," Gibson says to the camera. "And I'm not putting this up to calm people down. If people are having conversations about what's going on in my personal life... my private life has always been private. Do your research. Anybody who's ever been in my life will tell you, I've never seen him cry that way, I've never seen him have a meltdown."

"I'm not a singer, I'm not an actor, I'm not a producer, I'm not a writer, I'm not a celebrity. I'm a father. OK? I'm a father, it's a universal thing. So please, ladies, I love y'all. Our angels wouldn't be here if it wasn't for y'all. But this is not about men vs. women. This is men vs. liars," the Fast and Furious star continued.

The original Facebook video, also posted Wednesday, featured Gibson talking about his ongoing custody battle for Shayla with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell Gibson and saying that he doesn't want his daughter taken away from him. Gibson and Norma were married from 2007 to 2009.

In court documents obtained by People magazine, Norma has accused her ex-husband of abusing their daughter in August stating that Gibson "pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other."

Norma says Gibson hit Shayla "between 12 and 16 times" and that Shayla explained to her that she couldn't sit down due to the pain. Gibson has called the allegations "hurtful lies"

"Don't take my baby, please, don't take my baby," Gibson is heard saying in the Facebook video as he cries. Gibson is wearing a jacket in the clip that reads "Shayla Rocks."

Earlier on Wednesday, Gibson continued his feud with his Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson on Instagram over Fast and Furious 9 being delayed one year as Johnson will be headlining a spinoff film alongside Jason Statham.

"Hello world.......... hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe........ I'm sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce - You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours......... close your eyes dude you're a 'Clown,'" Gibson wrote, threatening to leave the franchise over Johnson's involvement alongside a photo of himself being embraced by fellow Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel while standing next to Johnson.

"Spin off huh? Spin off these nuts selfish champ...... pause notice who's got his arms around my shoulder and who's standing alone - #OurChildrenMatter," he continued.
