Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Scandal actress Katie Lowes and her husband, actor Adam Shapiro, welcomed their first child.

On Thursday, Lowes shared a photo of the newborn boy's feet next to a name tag reading "Albee Shapiro," alongside the hashtag #BabyGladiator on the night of Scandal's final season premiere.

"Baby's‪ ‬first Scandal Thursday‪!‬" Lowes wrote. "[Shapiro] and‪ ‬I‪ ‬are thrilled to welcome Albee Shapiro to our family! We're happy and healthy!"

Lowes, 35, announced the pregnancy during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May.

The couple were married in 2012 in a camp-themed wedding in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.
