Laurence Fishburne, Gina Torres officially announce split

Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres have announced that they officially split in the fall of last year after 14 years of marriage.

"With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year," Torres said in a statement to People magazine. There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either of us had expected."

"Happily, however, our family remains intact and we will continue to raise our daughter together with love and joy and awe. As well as raise each other up with respect and love and the continued understanding that we're in this together, if not side by side," Torres continued.

Fishburne and Torres tied the knot in 2002 and share 16-year-old daughter Delilah together. Fishburne is also a father to son Langston, 30, and daughter Montana, 27, from a previous marriage. On screen, the pair starred in The Matrix Reloaded together and portrayed a married couple on NBC's Hannibal from 2013 to 2015.

Recently, Torres was spotted kissing another man while having a lunch date at the Sweet Butter cafe in Los Angeles, Page Six reported.
