Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga announced on Twitter Tuesday that her upcoming Netflix documentary Five Foot Two, will detail the singer's battle with chronic illness fibromyalgia.
"In our documentary the #chronicillness #chronicpain I deal w/ is #Fibromyalgia I wish to help raise awareness & connect people who have it," the pop star wrote.
Fibromyalgia can cause extreme fatigue, sleep disturbances, depression and headaches, CNN reported.
Gaga: Five Foot Two which is set to arrive on Netflix on Sept. 22, will give fans an inside look at Gaga's life and career. A trailer released recently, featured the 31-year-old dealing with health issues and visiting a doctor's office.

"It's hard," Gaga said Friday at the Toronto International Film Festival, about discussing her chronic illness, Variety reported. "But it's liberating too."
Also in September, Gaga canceled a show in Montreal stating that she got sick after singing in the rain during a previous performance.
