Sept. 5 (UPI) -- WWE announcer and Raw commentator Corey Graves is set to join the Smackdown Live commentary team in place of John 'Bradshaw' Layfield.

The company announced that Graves will be featured on both of WWE's flagship programs Monday following news that Layfield, known as JBL, is stepping down in order to focus on his work with children as a Beyond Sport Global Ambassador.

Graves will have his commentating duties on 205 Live and WWE Main Event filled by Nigel McGuinness.

"Just to clear up any confusion, I'm NOT leaving #RAW. I'm joining #SDLive too!" Graves wrote on Twitter Monday before giving a shoutout to Smackdown Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura. "Hey @ShinsukeN, get that knee ready!" he wrote.

Graves is known for yelling out Nakamura's finishing move, the Kinshasa. "#Kinshasaaaa !!!!!!!!" Nakamura tweeted in response to Graves.

Layfield will continue to work with WWE during events such as WrestleMania and Tribute to the Troops. The former WWE Superstar and heavyweight champion has spent his free time away from announcing to work on his foundation Beyond Rugby Bermuda which helps teenagers find purpose through sports, CBS Sports reported.

"After much consideration, I will be stepping back my weekly role as Smackdown announcer to dedicate more continuous time on the work I have done since 2010 with at risk kids and communities," Layfield said in a statement. "My new schedule will allow me to continue to be a part of the WWE family and also continue my work that I feel is the most important thing in my life."

Layfield also congratulated Graves on Twitter writing, "You are the future @WWEGraves -the future is very bright!! So proud of you. Very talented, a good man. You are what is right about this biz."
