Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Former first lady Michelle Obama and tennis star Serena Williams re-created Beyoncé's iconic "Formation" look to mark the singer's 36th birthday.

Obama and Williams, as well as Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy, and her former Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, are seen in individual, black and white portraits on Beyoncé's official website, under the caption, "Happy birthday Beyoncé from your family and friends."

In addition to the celebrities, several members of Beyoncé's family, including her mother Tina Knowles Lawson and her husband Jay-Z's mother, Gloria Carter, and his grandmother Hattie White also appear in the images.

Each woman wears a wide-brimmed hat obscuring her eyes, long braids, a black dress and an ornate necklace, just as Beyonce did in the music video for her hit song.

The page links to another where people may donate to organizations providing aid to storm victims in Beyoncé's native Houston.

"Join us as the BeyGOOD team heads to Houston to continue our relief efforts on the ground. We have teamed up with Bread of Life, Greater Houston Community Foundation, and Texas Southern University, all of whom have been working with the displaced from the start of Hurricane Harvey's landfall," a message on the site said.
