Paris Jackson sends 'birthday wishes' to late dad Michael

Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Paris Jackson is sending love to late dad Michael Jackson on his birthday.

The 20-year-old aspiring actress shared a throwback photo and emotional message on what would have been the singer's 59th birthday Tuesday.

"birthday wishes to the love of my live, the one person who showed me what passion truly was, the one that gave me solid morals to live by and how to dream," Paris captioned a photo of herself kissing her dad.

"i will never feel love again the way i did with you," she said. "you are always with me and i am always with you. though i am not you, and you are not me, i know with all of my being that we are one. and our souls will never change in that way. thank you for the magic, forever and always."

Paris also posted a Photoshopped image of Michael kissing her on the forehead at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, where she slammed President Donald Trump and "white supremacist jerks" on Sunday. She told TMZ on Monday that she hopes her remarks would have made her dad feel "strong."

"We have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination," the star said in her speech at the awards show. "We must resist."

Paris was 11 years old when Michael died at age 50 in June 2009. She has paid tribute to her dad in interviews and social media posts since, and got a new tattoo in his honor in June prior to the eight-year anniversary of his death.

"my angel, my king, my universe. 8 years without feels like a lifetime," the actress wrote June 25.

Paris is the sister of 20-year-old Prince Jackson and 15-year-old Blanket Jackson. She also sent birthday wishes to Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, who is godfather to the siblings, this week.
