WWD reported Darc died at home. Sources said the star had been in poor health since having a brain hemorrhage in 2016.
Darc, who was born in Toulon, France, in 1938, came to fame as an actress in the 1960s. She was known for the 1972 comedy Le Grand Blond Avec Une Chaussure Noire, which famously featured her in a backless dress.
Darc also appeared in such films as The Great Spy Chase and Les Bons Vivants, and was a frequent co-star of Georges Lautner and ex-partner Alain Delon. She split from Delon in the mid-80s after 15 years together, and married Pascal Desprez in 2002.
