Nikki Reed feels like 'superwoman' after giving birth to daughter

Aug. 25 (UPI) -- New mom Nikki Reed was feeling like Superwoman this week following the birth of her baby girl.

The 29-year-old actress showed off her slim post-baby body while doing yoga with brother Nathan Reed on Thursday, just one month after welcoming daughter Bodhi Soleil with husband Ian Somerhalder.

"This might make me feel like a [expletive] but if you know Acro-yoga, you'll see it's really just a basic stretch," Reed captioned a photo of herself performing a yoga stretch with Nathan.

"Can't do much yet, but while I wait and recover, I might as well do things that make me feel like superwoman with my big bro :)," Thanks for the sweet afternoon Boog, I can't wait to get back into some serious moves with you," she added.

Reed gave birth to Bodhi on July 25 after announcing her pregnancy in May. Somerhalder couldn't help but gush about the actress in a post this week to show how "very proud" he was of her after welcoming their daughter.

"Seeing these images reminds me of those amazing 9 months that you sacrificed your whole being to grow our little one," the 38-year-old actor captioned a photo of Reed on the cover of Fit Pregnancy.

"You brought such fun and such power into our lives being pregnant but you literally brought the word sexy into pregnancy, we all see it," he added. "Thank you for being my partner in this life and thank you for inspiring not just me but all others who read, hear or see what your soul gives us."

Reed and Somerhalder married in Malibu, Calif., in April 2015. The actress is known for playing Rosalie Hale in the Twilight movies, while Somerhalder portrayed Boone Carlyle on The CW series The Vampire Diaries.
