Jennifer Aniston on fake pregnancy reports: 'It's just my body'

Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston says she would ban fake pregnancy reports from the tabloids if she could.

The 48-year-old actress addressed public speculation about her body in an interview with Glamour published this week, saying her least favorite headlines are the ones that show her stomach and declare her "Finally Pregnant!"

"I mean, it's like they take a picture of you and create this story," Aniston told the magazine. "If your body is in a normal moment of having had a bite or two, or you're having a moment of bloat, then there's arrows circled around your stomach, telling you that you're pregnant."

"It's like, actually no, it's just my body. Not that it's any of your business to begin with," she asserted. "Having a child, as we know, if no one's business except the couple or individual that's going through it."

Many speculated if Aniston would have children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, and again with her current husband, Justin Theroux. She explained her "ideas of what a happy live and fulfilled life are might be different from other people's."

"I think it's to each their own," the star said. "Nobody's right to judge someone else's choices. No one knows what's going on beyond the four walls of your home, of these people who are having or not having children. It's a very sensitive area to go to, especially. It's sensitive to me."

Aniston previously said in an essay for The Huffington Post in 2016 that she's "fed up" with fake pregnancy rumors, body shaming and societal pressure on women to get married and have children.

"We don't need to be married or mothers to be complete," she wrote. "We get to determine our 'happily ever after' for ourselves."

Aniston is known for playing Rachel Green on Friends, and has since starred in Marley and Me, Horrible Bosses and Office Christmas Party. She and Reese Witherspoon will co-star in a new series about a New York morning show.
